SHE-Q NAMM SONG CAMP
The SHE-Q NAMM Crew will also be coming together for a songwriting and production camp Jan 23 and 24, right before the NAMM Show! Only 3% of producers/engineers are women/non-binary and only about 12% of songwriters are as well. And these roles are becoming increasingly intertwined and important, which is why we are putting on this camp!

Alberta Music ADEMP Workshop #1 Recap
Alberta Music’s Advancing Diversity and Equity in Music Production - Workshop #1 @thataudioengineergal (Chelsa Roberts) and I were happy to facilitate learning through a tactile, hands on way. While sooooo many technical questions were answered, the most illuminating thing for me personally was being able to put a finger on our collective anxiety and how much we tend to make ourselves smaller and quieter as women/non-binary individuals in a pocket of music where we are still so vastly outnumbered.

I’m so thrilled to be on this journey with other women and non-binary music producers and audio engineers. I started SHE-Q Audio because it can feel like a big daunting mountain to climb when you want to be the best at your job but feel a bit unsure as to how to get there.
